Governor Abbott Appoints TLTA Past President Rodney Anderson, CTIP to Judicial Compensation Commission

We are proud to share that TLTA's Immediate Past President, Rodney Anderson, CTIP, has been appointed by Governor Greg Abbott to the Judicial Compensation Commission. Rodney will serve alongside reappointed members Phil Johnson and Linda Kinney for terms set to expire on February 1, 2029.
The Commission plays a vital role in recommending proper salaries for justices and judges across the Supreme Court, Court of Criminal Appeals, Courts of Appeals, and state district courts. Please join us in congratulating Rodney on this well-deserved appointment!

In Memoriam: Melinda Massey
April 16, 1948 - December 11, 2024
We extend our heartfelt condolences to the family of Melinda Brooks Massey, who passed away on December 11, 2024. Melinda was the beloved wife of TLTA Past President Bert Massey, whose passing we shared last month.
Together, Melinda and Bert built a life of love and service and their dedication to their family, community, and the title industry leaves a lasting legacy that will be felt for generations.

Melinda's memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, December 23, 2024, at First Baptist Church in Brownwood, with a reception to follow. You can read more about Melinda's life and legacy in her obituary here.

In Memoriam: Reba Lynn Crocker Taylor
November 4, 1919 - November 30, 2024
We extend our deepest condolences to the family of Reba Lynn Crocker Taylor, who passed away on November 30, 2024, at the age of 105. She was the beloved wife of TLTA Past President Duke Taylor, Jr., who served as President from 1964-1965. Reba's long life was marked by love, dedication, and a deep connection to her family and community.

In Memoriam: Carolyn M. Hines
March 6, 1943 - November 29, 2024
Carolyn Hines, age 81 of Friendswood, Texas, passed away Friday, November 29, 2024. Carolyn was born March 6, 1943 in San Diego, California and had been a resident of Friendswood for 8 years, formerly of Pearland. She worked in the title insurance business and was the owner/operator of Texas Fidelity Title of Alvin and Pearland.
