How the Best Leaders Drive Innovation

Harvard Business Review Podcast
If you’re leading innovation, you need very specific leadership skills. Leaders who shepherd innovation can’t rely on formal authority. Instead, they need to understand how to get people to co-create with them, which requires mastering three key roles —architect, bridger, and catalyst—or the ABCs of innovation. In this short podcast episode, you’ll learn how to fill each of these roles—from how to assemble the right team to how to build real connections and mutual commitment.

TLTAPAC Board Celebrates Legacy of Chair Emeritus Bert Massey

TLTAPAC Board members gathered in Austin on February 22 for a special celebratory lunch and board meeting, honoring Chair Emeritus Bert Massey for his remarkable contributions to the organization.

Bert Massey, TLTAPAC Board Chair Emeritus, reflects on his many years of service to the PAC and is honored by friends and industry peers for his leadership and dedication

During his service as TLTA President from 1981-82, Bert's visionary leadership led to the establishment of the TLTAPAC, recognizing the crucial role of political engagement in safeguarding and advancing our industry's interests. Bert, who served as Chair of the PAC Board since its inception, prior to stepping into the role of Chair Emeritus in 2023, has been a driving force behind the TLTAPAC's success for decades, and it was an honor for his friends and industry peers to have the opportunity to gather and toast his legacy.

In Memoriam: Stewart Morris Sr.

OCTOBER 28, 1919 – MARCH 11, 2024
Stewart Morris Sr., who helped grow Stewart Title into what it is today, passed away March 11 at the age of 104.

Morris’ extended family started Stewart Title in 1893. At the age of 10, he started working as an office boy sweeping floors, running errands and tending to other tasks for $5 a week. Morris went on to become president and co-CEO of the company, now known as Stewart Information International.

Morris and his brother, Carloss Morris, were thrown into leadership when their father, William Carloss Morris, and two other top company leaders all passed away in 1950. At the time, Stewart Title only had eight offices and a few agents in Texas. Morris’ leadership helped grow the company to all 50 states and 13 foreign countries with offices and agents in over 9,000 locations.

In 2018, Stewart Title celebrated Morris’ 80 years of service to the company.
