A Look Back at TLTA's 2023 Leadership Academy

We're excited to announce the successful completion of TLTA's 2023 Leadership Academy, where over 70 industry professionals from across Texas immersed themselves in a comprehensive leadership program. Beginning at our June conference, the program seamlessly transitioned between in-person and virtual sessions, concluding with a dynamic two-day seminar in Austin this November.

The Leadership Academy, established in 2011 in memory of industry trailblazer Alex H. Halff, has evolved with 8 successful sessions and over 400 alumni. Responding to the demand for growth, the 2023 Academy featured enhanced content and expanded opportunities for leadership, networking, education, and study. Covering essential topics such as communication styles, conflict resolution, coaching, training and retaining employees, resilience and networking, this year's program aimed to equip participants with vital leadership skills for the title industry's dynamic landscape.

Title Insurance Veteran Robin Anderson Retires

After more than 20 years of title industry tenure, Robin Anderson, the Office and Finance Manager at First Title Company in San Angelo, Texas, will be retiring on December 15, 2023. With a solid 25-year career in the real estate industry, Robin has been a key player in various roles across multiple states, including Idaho, Tennessee, Colorado, and Texas. Throughout her tenure, Robin has handled everything from abstracting and funding to policy and closing. Robin is set to retire to Arizona to be closer to her grandchildren, and we wish her the very best in this well-earned next chapter.

In Memoriam: Jim Tomlinson

SEPTEMBER 23, 1963 - OCTOBER 14, 2023
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of James "Jim" Tomlinson, 60, of Sugar Land, TX. Born September 7, 1963, Jim passed away on October 14, 2023.
 


He was a beloved husband, father, and friend, and an active member of TLTA, serving on the Finance Committee. Jim will be missed by his industry friends and association community.
