Cass Burton Awarded New Mexico Land Title Association Prestigious Award
Earlier this month at the annual New Mexico Land Title Association Conference, the Omer Tucker Citizen of the Year Award was given to Cass Burton, FNF SW Region Regulatory Compliance Counsel, and intregal member of several TLTA Committees and Advisory Groups including the Legislative Committee, Judiciary Committee, Regulatory Committee, and Federal Issues Advisory Group.
This award recognizes the NMLTA member who during the course of a year demonstrates outstanding commitment, dedication, and effectiveness on behalf of the NMLTA and on behalf of the New Mexico title insurance industry. It is not bestowed annually, but awarded on a discretionary basis when it is determined that a potential designee achieves multiple qualifications. The recipient must not only be a proven leader in the settlement services industry in New Mexico, but he or she must also serve as a personal example of character, spirit and support to the people of the title industry.
Cass was the recipient of this award as his leadership and determination resulted ultimately in the legislation passed by the New Mexico Legislature and signed by the Governor extending the rate hearing cycle to a three-year cycle. Congratulations, Cass!
