In 2004, Gloria Mark, a professor of informatics at the University of California, Irvine, watched knowledge workers go about a typical day at the office. Using a stopwatch, she noted every time they switched tasks on their computer, moving from a spreadsheet to an email to a web page to a different web page and back to the spreadsheet. She found that people averaged just two and a half minutes on a given task before switching.

TLTA Volunteer Roland Love Appointed to TTIGA Board of Directors and Awarded State Bar of Texas Standing Ovation

Dallas attorney G. Roland Love was appointed this month to the Texas Title Insurance Guaranty Association (TTIGA) Board of Directors. The Board consists of nine members, three title insurers, two title agents, and four public members, that serve staggered six year terms and oversee the association, which exists to protect Texas title insurance policyholders and claimants if a title insurance company or agency fails.

In addition to his TTIGA Board appointment, Mr. Love was honored this month by the State Bar of Texas with the Standing Ovation Award for his exceptional contributions in 2022 to the Bar's continuing legal education efforts. Mr. Love was one of eight volunteer lawyers receiving an award from the staff of TexasBarCLE, the Bar's division for providing continuing legal education and one of the premier providers in the nation.
 

Roland Love is an active TLTA volunteer and Local Legislative Liaison, chairing our Institute and Regulatory Committees and offering his expertise as a valuable member of many other TLTA committees, task forces and advisory groups, including the Legislative Committee and the newly formed Seller Impersonation Fraud Task Force. 
 

Allegiance Title Welcomes Blair Raggio as President

Allegiance Title announced that Blair Raggio has been named president of the company. Raggio succeeds Dawn Moore, who remains with the company as president of AllFirst. under which Allegiance Title operates as a regional brand.
 

 
Before joining Allegiance Title as executive vice president in 2020, Raggio was an attorney with Holland & Knight in Dallas. Raggio graduated from Vanderbilt University with a BA degree in Economics and received MBA and JD law degrees from SMU.
