For the more than 600 Texas title professionals who attended TLTA's Annual Conference and Business Meeting in Fort Worth June 13-15, the opportunity to gather with friends and colleagues while seeking out new insights about our evolving marketplace continued to define Texas' premier title industry event.

Roland Love Awarded the Patrick A. Nester Outstanding Achievement in CLE Award From the Texas Bar College

Roland Love, Vice President, Business Alliance &Field Operations for Independence Title is the 2022 recipient of the Patrick A. Nester Outstanding Achievement in CLE Award from the Texas Bar College.
The award is named in honor of Patrick A. Nester, of Driftwood, Texas, the Director of the State Bar of Texas Professional Development Program and TexasBarCLE from 1986 to 2000 and again from 2005 to 2016. The award is to honor a Texas attorney for outstanding achievement in CLE as a course director, speaker, author, creator of a new course.
Roland Love
Roland has done an exemplary job of chairing TLTA’s Texas Land Title Institute Committee for over 20 years, and under his leadership the program has grown and become known as one of the premier legal institutes in Texas. Over the years, he has also been a regular speaker at the Land Title School of Texas and other TLTA educational programs. He also currently chairs the TLTA Regulatory Committee, serves on our Legislative Committee, is a former chair and current member of TLTA’s Judiciary Committee, and serves as vice chair of the TLTAPAC Board of Trustees. In 2018, Roland was awarded TLTA’s highest honor, Title Person of the Year, for his many years of service and devotion to TLTA and the title industry.
Roland's latest accolade from the Texas Bar College will be formally awarded in July and TLTA salutes him for this well-deserved recognition for his work and service in the area of continuing legal education.

In Memoriam: Barry Dru Jackson
MARCH 27, 1952 – JUNE 10, 2022
Barry “Dru” Jackson, 70 of Joshua, Texas left this Earth on June 10, 2022, after a short battle with Cancer.
Dru graduated from Richland High School in 1970 and immediately started his career in the title insurance business that spanned for almost 50 years. He started as a courier for Guardian Title Company. and quickly advanced to a Title Examiner. In April of 1984 he became the Title Plant Manager for First American Title. He later ran Title Plants for Commonwealth Land Title, Blue Star Title, Sendera Title and retired in September of 2015 from Hexter-Fair/First American Title.

Vantage Point Title has announced the addition of Natalie Moranda to the Vantage Point Title team. She will serve as Senior Vice President, National
Retail Operations.
Moranda brings more than twenty years of comprehensive experience in escrow and title related functions, having previously served in various executive roles. Licensed in over 29 states as a title
producer, she has successfully licensed and launched several national title companies, including United Lender Services, a USAA company.
