Diane Dietert, First Female President of TLTA, Died Oct. 9
TLTA | Oct. 13, 2021
It is with great sadness we report that Diane Dietert, TLTA's first female president, passed away Oct. 9.
Diane started working in the title Insurance business at Kendall County Abstract Company. Her 30-year career culminated in her ownership of two title companies: Guaranty Title Company of Boerne and Bandera County Title Company. In 1982 Diane sold her companies, and in 1985 she wrote and had published Closing 101 - A Basic Guide for Escrow Secretaries, which led to a ten-year second career giving training seminars and workshops in title companies throughout Texas under the auspices of her company, Title Training of Texas.
In 1978, Diane was elected TLTA's president. In 2009, she was recognized as an Honorary Member for sustained meritorious service, TLTA’s lifetime achievement award.
"Diane was such a special person - a title industry trailblazer, a TLTA stalwart supporter, and most importantly, a beloved friend to all of us," said Leslie Midgley, CEO and Executive Vice President of TLTA. "There are so many things I will miss about her, but her razor-sharp wit and sense of fun are certainly somewhere near the top of that list. A wonderful lady in every way."
Funeral services were held at the Church of Horseshoe Bay on Friday, October 22, followed by a reception for friends and family at the church.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to Shriners Hospital for Children - 2900 Rocky Point Drive, Tampa, FL 33607 or to the charity of your choice.
Please join the family in honoring Diane's life by visiting a
memorial where you are invited to share your thoughts and memories with the family.
