|
Happy early anniversary to the Land Title School of Texas, which turns 40 years young this February. The School often sells out, so save your seat and register today!
To celebrate, TLTA has put together some fun facts about the School. Did you know that the first School:
- Was held at the Institute of Texan Cultures in San Antonio?
- Only accepted one student from each member company?
- Was limited to only 100 students?
Read our School Report Card for more trivia about the School's history. And watch future TLTA emails for interviews with the first School attendees!

Your TLTAPAC Rolls Out New "Your Voice, Our Future" Initiative – $400,000 Annual Goal and Calendar Year Giving Cycle
|
|
|
The TLTAPAC Board of Trustees recently approved a new calendar year giving cycle starting in January 2017, making it easier to remember that it’s time to renew your investment, plus allowing for more recognition for donors throughout the entire year.
In keeping with the "new normal" required to protect our industry, an annual fundraising goal of $400,000 has been established for both 2017 and 2018. Fundraising co-chairs Randy Pittman and Patrick Rose, along with a team of title industry leaders, have launched a peer-to-peer campaign to secure commitments for the next two years. If you haven’t heard from them already, expect a call in the near future!
Thank you for your past support, and thank you in advance for stepping up to help us continue the work of our strong PAC. We must maintain higher levels of giving as we continue to fight the attack on our Texas system and the threat of deregulation. With sustained, significant support, the TLTAPAC will have the resources to be recognized as a leading PAC and to protect our industry for years to come.

This year, TLTA offered not one, but two exciting pre-Institute programs. Title Insurance and Doc Prep Basics: An Introduction to Closing the Deal (a.k.a. Doc Prep) continued to be very popular, while the all-new How to Grow Your Business With the Homebuyer Outreach Program (a.k.a. HOP) drew a large and engaged crowd.
Thank you again to all the speakers and attendees at the Texas Land Title Institute!
