Title Insurance Agency Hit with $200k CFPB Fine

The Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) ordered Lighthouse Title, a Michigan title insurance agency, to pay $200,000 for alleged Real Estate Settlement Procedures Act (RESPA) violations. The Bureau alleges that Lighthouse Title entered into marketing service agreements (MSAs) with different companies in exchange for client referrals.
