TLTA | June 26, 2024
The House Financial Services Subcommittee on Housing and Insurance, led by Chairman Warren Davidson (OH-08), held a hearing entitled “Housing Oversight: Testimony of the HUD and FHFA Inspectors General," yesterday, Wednesday, June 26.
Chairman Davidson, in noting concerns about FHFA’s approach to process, included the following statement, “One the one hand, FHFA finalized a rule to require approval and public comment for the GSEs’ new products and activities. On the other hand, it greenlighted a new title insurance waiver program with almost no process or transparency.”
