Reminder that the deadline for submitting your TDI Agent Statistical Data report and affidavit is less than 3 weeks away on Aug. 21, 2023.
 
This is a mandatory reporting requirement under Texas Insurance Code §2703.153. TDI uses this data to set title insurance premium rates. Please note that this call is for data collected during calendar year 2022. Read the TDI agent data call bulletin for more info and instructions.

FinCEN: 2022 SAR Filing Trend Data Now Available

The Financial Crimes Enforcement Network’s (FinCEN) Interactive SAR Stats webpage now includes Filing Trend Data by industry updated through the 2022 calendar year. The new downloadable data is arranged by industry type, and includes rankings by states/territories and suspicious activities.
 
Interactive SAR Stats is an application that enables users to view FinCEN’s trend data for aggregated counts of defined suspicious activities that financial institutions file with FinCEN as required by the Bank Secrecy Act.

ICYMI: TDI Quarterly Audit Results Published: March-May 2023

The following is a summary of recent TDI audits, violations and enforcement actions from March through May 2023. Read TDI's complete summary of operations for the quarter, or review key statistics below.          
        
Compliance Audits: TDI's goal is to comprehensively audit agencies at least once every two years. This quarter, TDI conducted 89 audits.        
         
Commissioner Orders: This quarter, TDI signed no Commissioner Orders. As of this report, 16 cases remain active and under investigation.        
         
Compliance Audit Results:  Below are TDI's most common audit findings for the quarter that ended in May 2023. The numbers below represent how many agencies had an infraction, not the number of times the infraction occurred:
