Takeaways From Inter-Industry TRID Roundtable Hosted by TLTA

Texas Land Title Association | April 20, 2016

As Downdate previously reported, a TLTA-hosted inter-industry TRID Roundtable was held in February. Approximately 50 title, real estate and lending professionals from the Independent Bankers Association of Texas, the Texas Association of Realtors, the Texas Bankers Association, the Texas Mortgage Bankers Association and TLTA met to explore and seek joint solutions for TRID implementation problem areas.

The group found a number of consensus areas and identified the need for a smaller task force to work on “best practices” that could be used as an educational tool and a guide for setting up processes that foster smoother transactions. The group for the task force has been identified, and efforts are underway to work on developing the joint product.

TLTA has compiled notes from this important roundtable event and encourages all members to review these takeaways.

Note: The document linked below is simply a summary of the discussion and should not be taken as an official position or official guidance.
