Look for TDI email inviting you to voluntarily test your reporting system to ensure you have no technical challenges when you submit your data by May 1

February 12, 2026

TDI will be sending you an email with reporting system test instructions

Soon you should receive an email from TDI with instructions for testing the system with which agents will report their 2025 statistical data. TDI's email includes a link through which you can test your ability to use their reporting form. Testing is voluntary, but TLTA encourages agents to test their ability to complete the form to ensure agents are able to submit their statistical data by the May 1 deadline.

Background on this reporting system test

In prior years, many agents have had technical issues opening the statistical data reporting form and/or submitting the form to TDI. The test link that will be in the email TDI sends to agents soon is an early opportunity to resolve both issues using a test form that does not require agents to prepare any actual data. If agents encounter technical issues when using the test form, then they can address those now, well ahead of the data call's due date.

Given the variety of operating systems and PDF readers utilized today, TDI is concerned that their form may face compatibility issues with the computers on which agents will report their data. TDI and TLTA want this reporting process to be as smooth as possible for all respondents.

Schedule for this year's reporting window - new reporting deadlines

TDI has adopted new rules regarding the schedule for collecting 2025 agent statistical data. The instructions and form will be posted in a few weeks on March 1. Reports are due by May 1.

You can review the TDI order setting these new due dates here.

TLTA is grateful that TDI took into account comments made by the industry during the recent rulemaking that set these dates. We are thankful too for all the industry members who provided input and worked to get this change made, including providing written comments and comments at the hearing itself. TLTA supports this new due date structure, which will provide certainty and consistency for the industry.

Texas Insurance Code ยง2703.153 requires each title insurance company and title insurance agent engaged in the business of title insurance in Texas to annually submit business data to TDI. TDI uses this data to set title insurance premium rates.
