Privacy 20/20: Can We See the Future Clearly? OD

Recorded  March 4, 2020

The California Consumer Privacy Act is now in effect, and seventeen states considered comprehensive consumer privacy legislation in 2019, including Texas, which created the Privacy Protection Advisory Council to study the issue and recommend legislation for 2021. We expect to see additional privacy legislation proposed at the state and federal levels in 2020.
Whether or not you are familiar with the specific requirements of privacy laws in Texas or other states, this beginner webinar covers common requirements of privacy legislation—with emphasis on the California Consumer Privacy Act and the Washington Privacy Act—and tips on how to best prepare your business for the changing landscape:

  •      What to consider when developing external privacy notices, as well as internal policies and procedures
  •      How to address third-party business relationships
  •      Employee Training
  •      Consumer requests
