Minerals:The Law, The Exception, and T-19 Series Coverage OD

Oil and gas development is prevalent throughout Texas and the insured may seek coverage to deal with issues resulting from mineral development. This presentation will discuss the basics of oil and gas law, history of the minerals exception, the relevant endorsements available to the insured to provide coverage for these issues and the general underwriting guidelines for issuance of the T-19 series of endorsements. 

Upon completion of the course, attendees should

  1. Have a general understanding of the basics of Texas oil and gas law and the history behind the minerals exception and endorsements.
  2. Understand the rules and procedures for providing coverage under the T-19 series of endorsements.
  3. Be better prepared to address these issues using the procedural rules and guidelines discussed.
