TLTA Introduces Its Newest President, J. Christopher Phillips

Please join TLTA in welcoming its 2017-2018 President, J. Christopher Phillips.
 
Chris currently serves as President and CEO of First National Title Insurance Company in Plano, which he has built over the past five years. He began his career in the title industry in Douglas County, Colorado in 1975. He became involved with national underwriters early in his career and then spent 26 years working in several leadership roles, including president at a Texas-based regional underwriter, where he was responsible for building the agency network and increasing revenues throughout the Southwest. He is a graduate of the University of Colorado with a bachelor’s degree in finance. He is a member of TLTA, the American Land Title Association, the Land Title Association of Arizona and the New Mexico Land Title Association and is a TLTAPAC board trustee. In 2010, he was awarded TLTA’s highest honor of Title Man of the Year, which recognizes significant and longtime contributions to the title industry and the association. Congratulations, Chris!

TLTA Recognizes Award Winners at 2017 Conference

TLTA is proud to announce the winners of this year's awards, which were distributed at the Annual Conference and Business Meeting. Each of these individuals have greatly contributed to this industry's success, and TLTA is honored to celebrate them.

Randy D. Pittman, President, County Manager of West Texas Abstract & Title Company, LLC in Midland, received the esteemed Title Person of the Year Award. The award, which is the highest honor bestowed by TLTA, recognizes significant and longtime contributions to the title industry and the association.

Outgoing President James H. Dudley, IV, awarded Daniel Foster, Sr., CEO/President and Attorney for Providence Title Company, with the prestigious James H. Garst President’s Award. The award recognizes the achievements of an individual who has shown outstanding service to the TLTA president during his or her year in office.

Retired title insurance professional Mark Greek, former Vice President and the State Agency Manager for First American Title Insurance Company based in Houston, became an Honorary Member for Sustained Meritorious Service. The designation is in recognition of Mark's many contributions to the association and the title industry over a long period of time.
