Use 2013 EID Number and Agency Name in Agent Experience Report

As we recently reported, the Texas Department of Insurance (TDI) has released its call for Agent Statistical Data. Because TDI recently mailed new Firm ID and License numbers to agents, there has been some confusion about what number to use in the experience report.

We have confirmed with TDI that for this call, agents should use the EID number (shown on the license as Agent Company ID) and agency name (DBA name) that were in effect for 2013. The new Firm ID numbers that were mailed to agents last month should be used in next year's experience report.

The completed experience report must be postmarked or submitted electronically as an attached XML or PDF file to the department on or before June 9, 2014. The full set of forms and instructions related to the data call are available at the TDI website here.

TLTA's webinar On-Time & Error Free TDI Experience Reporting will take place Tuesday, May 13, at 10:00 a.m. Learn more and register here.
